The Flo-Verter Pool Valve we sell is the same three way motorized diverter valve which Heliotrope previously manufactured from 1985 until 2000. It was sometimes known as the FV-2.0-P-A. The unit receives a low voltage signal from the solar controller, which allows flow through collectors when heat can be picked up for heating the pool or spa. The valve body is sized to accept two inch PVC pipe. Solarcon has upgraded the design of the actuator motor mounts to stainless steel from the plastic that Heliotrope used. The actuator shaft is sealed with epoxy to prevent build up of chlorine gases. A defective valve can be replaced with one of our new valves without cutting or replacing any pipes.
